Regras de acentuação
All words have an accentuated syllable, which is always the second-to-last syllable, except if:
- There is an accentuation sign like ´, `, ^ or ~ (and then, the syllable where it's located is the one accentuated).
Examples: café, chá, lâmpada, armazém, coração. - The word ends in -l, -r, -z, -u or -i and has no accentuation signs (the accentuation is then on the last syllable).
Examples: farol, cantar, museu, pesquisarei. - It's a monosyllabic word.
Examples: meu, pai, quem.
